The First Break

Adam's first cast Well, Adam did it this time.  After a week of having a sore arm, I finally took him to an orthopedist.  He quickly determined that Adam’s arm was indeed fractured and we got more x-rays to confirm.  So, here he is, red cast and all!  He should get it off on January 15th assuming he doesn’t get it wet before then.

Merry Christmas from the Kids

The kids recorded a message for everyone!

Gingerbread houses anyone?

We took the kids to the Vinings Club today for lunch.  They each got to decorate a gingerbread house, and here they are!

Adam with no training wheels!

Well, it certainly didn't take Adam long.  He was on his way first thing.  I had to help him with starting some, but he's got it perfect now.  The boys are looking forward to their first trip on the Silver Comet Trail, which should be soon.  Not sure if I'll be able to get pictures though.

Look Ma! No training wheels!

Brooks took the big leap today and decided it was high time to leave the training wheels behind.  He learned in about one hour and was cruising from there without looking back.  Way to go Brooks!

Here are a couple of other videos:

Adam started off going straight very well, but he still has to work on his turning an starting.  We will hopefully finish next week.

Happy Halloween!

We all went to the annual neighborhood Halloween party tonight, including popcorn, pizza and a hay ride through the neighborhood. After that was Trick-or-Treating!  We have enough candy for Halloween next year, after the kids eat candy every day until then.  Stay safe tonight and have a Happy Halloween!

Smyrna Jonquil Festival

We went to the Smyrna Jonquil Festival today with Jodie, Jerry and JD.  The kids got to play in blow up obstacle courses and slides.  They also got to see some dancers while eating snow cones and play catch with balls provided by WSB Radio where I met Rev. Allen Hunt, a local talk show host (http://www.allenhuntshow.com/).

Disney on Ice

We took the kids to Disney on Ice on Saturday, October 25th.  They got to see Cars characters including Mater, Sally and Lightning McQueen; The Little Mermaid including King Titan, Sebastian and Ariel; The Lion King with Scar, his hyenas and Simba.  The finale was Tinkerbell and how she became a fairy and saved Spring.  The kids had a great time and loved the show.  I am very proud of how well they did the whole time.  I took some pictures and videos, look for them soon when I can post pictures again.

Another lost tooth

DSC_0026Brooks lost his first tooth today.  He first thought the tooth broke, but then realized that it fell out.  Interesting thing is that it is the exact same tooth that Adam lost a couple of weeks ago.  I wonder if they are planning this?

First lost tooth

DSC_0036 It is really lost!  Adam lost his first tooth on Thursday, September 25th at school.  The tooth was placed in a container, but while attempting to show his friends, the tooth apparently jumped out of the container and could not be found.  Fortunately, the tooth fairy was able to find it and left a little something under Adam's pillow that evening.
